Hmm...
Okay, so I really feel like it's time for another post, but I really don't know what to say. So I guess I'll just give a basic update.
We are basically ready for Christmas. Pretty much the only things I have left are things that if they don't get done, it's okay. I would like to do them, but sometimes it's more important to sit and read a story, snuggle a sick infant, play a game with a lonely/bored teenager or play with someone's hair. And sometimes its important just to get some sleep!
So, with that said, we are ready for Christmas. I would still like to do some Christmas baking and I have a few things that I would like to sew, but we'll see how my energy level maintains with a sick baby and an absent husband. (Literally absent, not figuratively!). I am working tomorrow and have celebrations starting on Friday. So we'll see what happens after work today and tomorrow and how I feel on Thursday.
Michael has been working up north for the past week and will be home just in time for Christmas. I can't wait to have him back, I really miss him when he's gone! He's been really busy while he's been up there and he's enjoying the work. We are working pretty hard to get more people recruited for next summer. The draw is on January 9 and we really need to have most of our people hired by then, so we'll see how that goes.
Heather is working at The Bargain! Shop and seems to be enjoying her job. She definitely enjoys having the extra money! She's doing alright in school, although she is noticing the increase in difficulty with it being her last year!
Peter is happily plodding along, enjoying school, driving us crazy at home with his constant questions and improving constantly on his saxophone. He will be in high school next year, which terrifies me. They are moving grade six to jr. high and grade nine to high school. Should be interesting!
Natasha just finished her choir concerts for Christmas. As usual her school choir did a fantastic job. She is becoming a more beautiful singer every day and she likes preforming. She also likes to hang out with her friends and is either having or attending a sleep over every weekend!
David got to play Joseph in his school pageant this year. He did a great job and loved his part! I think we may finally be getting past bed wetting with him, although it's hard to say, we've had "dry spells" before!
Zachary is constantly surprising us with how much he is growing. He just keeps getting bigger and bigger. But more adorable as well. He has the sweetest temperament and does not easily get upset. He's fighting a cold right now, and we really hope it goes away before Christmas comes.
So that is what our family is up to this season. We are all getting excited for Christmas and loving the countdown. Merry Christmas to all our friends, may the days bring you joy and peace.
