Strawberry Yogurt Bites

Today we are talking about Strawberry Yogurt Bites! They are such a great snack for toddlers, children and adults! One of my favourite things about yogurt bites is that they are low in sugar, they do have added sugar, but not as much as most other sweet snacks. They are creamy and delicious  and highly addictive! Today I will share with you three of my favourite ways to eat strawberry yogurt bites. I will even include recipes so you can make them at home. :)

The first way that I use strawberry yogurt bites and probably the way I eat them most often is in a smoothie. I love yogurt bites in my smoothies because they make them creamier and add some sweetness.
I drink at least one smoothie almost every day, and I use different combinations all the time, but this one is one of my favourites!

Strawberry Lemonade Smoothie
(all ingredients are freeze dried products from Thrive Life foods)

1/4 cup kale
3/4 tsp lemonade powder
1/2 cup pineapple
1/2  cup strawberries
1/4 cup strawberry yogurt bites

Add above ingredients to blender and blend into powder (this ensures that your smoothie doesn't have any chunks in it).

add in 1 cup of you liquid of choice, I choose almond milk most often, but I also use water or 2% milk frequently. Blend until smooth.

I find this makes a fairly thick smoothie, but if you like it really thick, ice cream consistency, add 2-3 ice cubes with your liquid before blending.

My second favourite way to eat strawberry yogurt bites is to make a dry snack mix. This is a great way to snack healthy and it's something that you can include the kids in making. My boys love to choose their favourite fruit, yogurt, nuts and seeds and put them together to make a mix specifically for them!
Don't feel like you have to follow my recipe exactly, we typically use whatever we feel inclined to eat that day. If you have a hankering for peanuts? throw them in! Don't have any freeze dried pineapple on hand? Leave them out! This is your mix, make it how you like it, this is just one version.

Fruit & Yogurt Snack Mix
(made with freeze dried foods from Thrive)
1/4 cup pineapple
1/4 cup strawberry slices
1/4 cup greek yogurt bites
1/4 cup strawberry yogurt bites
1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup granola

Mix ingredients together and pour into a bowl. I typically leave my mix on the table and let the boys pick at it as they like. Oftentimes they pick out the things they like and eat them first! I like to take a handful and eat it all together.

But the BEST way to eat strawberry yogurt bites....
Grab a handful!
Yogurt bites are the perfect finger food. They are small and they melt in your mouth, so they don't pose a choking hazard. These are the delicious little morsels that got me started on Thrive. If you haven't tried them, NOW is the time!
I love all the flavours, try them and let me know which one is your favourite! Strawberry, Vanilla, Blueberry, Pomegranate, Passionfruit, Cherry and Greek!
